Burnt Bulb on Broadway is the latest offering from Kevin Breit. The recording of 14 original songs are taken from breit's play of the same name. The production is sparse with only guest vocalist and piano throughout, providing the listener, with a chance to hear their renderings in it's most naked form. The songs revolve around the lives of 14 women, connected by their affliation with the brandon, manitoba chapter of the catholic women's league. It is set between the years of 1943-1964.The songs touch on the characters hope,love,loss,pain and wisdom with the hardship and splendour of an manitoba backdrop.
